Food festival captivates visitors at Vaageshwari degree and PG college

KARIMNAGAR, MARCH 26, 2024: The country’s rich culinary flavours and gastronomic heritage was displayed at a food festival organised by the students of Vaageshwari Degree and PG college in Karimnagar town on Tuesday.

District Welfare Officer Saraswathi, District marketing officer Padmavathi, Municipal deputy commissioner Swaroopa, Satavahana University Food Sciences Assistant Professor Joseph Raju, Vaageshwari degree and PG college chairman BVR Gopal Reddy, Joint Secretary Ratna Gopal Reddy Principal Satish Goud and others participated in the programme. The visitors at the food festival savoured the traditional delicacies of Telangana and also special dishes made with millets

Students of this skilled-based course projected the skills and techniques of food processing and preservation. The food fest was organised keeping in mind the awareness to be given to general public regarding the foods. Students displayed the stalls related with food information. They also educated the importance of probiotics and consumption of brown rice. Principals Linga Murthy and Venkat Reddy, vice principals Ch Chaitanya and Ramana, AO Nizamuddin, Food science faculty members Arun Kumar and other faculty members were also present. All life science students BSc crop production, agriculture, food science, nutrition, forestry, dairy science, and others participated.
