HYDERABAD, JUNE 03, 2024: The Prohibition and Excise Special Task Force (STF) have seized 4.1 grams of MDMA worth around Rs 50,000 and arrested a person under Balanagar Excise police station limits in Hyderabad on Monday.
According to official sources, on credible information, the Excise inspector T Sridhar, SI S Raghu and their team arrested Sheik Farooq (23) at Vaddapalli enclace near Kukatpalli on Sunday night along with 4.1 grams MDMA drugs. Each gram of MDMA is sold at Rs 12,000. The accused was produced before the court on Monday.
Sheik Farooq studying B Tech in Chennai had been procuring the drugs illegally from Bengaluru and selling the same in Hyderabad. DSP Tirupathi congratulated the team for nabbing the drug peddler.Head constables Lekha Singh and Aleem, constables Karthik, Rajesh, Vikas and others were also present.
