KARIMNAGAR, FEBRUARY 17, 2024: The Bharath Rashtra Samithi (BRS) rank and file celebrated the 70th birth anniversary of BRS president and former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao with much pomp and gaiety by organising various activities in the district on Saturday.
The party leaders participated in the cake cutting, poor feeding (anna dhanam), special pujas in temples and distribution of fruits to the inmates of hospital and orphanages. The party leaders also distributed saplings on the occasion.
Mayor Y Sunil Rao, BRS district president GV Ramakrishna Rao, town president Challa Harishankar and others participated in the celebrations at Indira chowk in Karimnagar town. BRS corporator Kamsala Srinivas celebrated the birth of KCR by cutting the cake and serving the food to the poor people. Similarly, corporator Gandhe Madhavi also participated in serving of food to the people.
