Tiny Tots of Vivekananda Residential School (CBSE) celebrated Janmashtami with religious fervour

KARIMNAGAR, AUGUST 24, 2024: The spirit of Janmashtami, the joyous celebration of Lord Krishna’s birth, came alive at Vivekananda Residential School (CBSE, Karimnagar, as the tiny tots donned traditional attire of Lord Krishna, Radha and Gopikas and engaged in a variety of cultural activities.

The auditorium was adorned with vibrant decorations, depicting the life and times of Lord Krishna. To the delight of the audience, the children performed a mesmerising dance to the tune of popular Krishna bhajans. The rhythmic movements and colourful costumes left everyone spellbound. One of the most exciting moments of the day was to break a “dahi handi” (utti).”

The teachers enlightened the children about the importance of the day, various aspects of Krishna’s youthful days, the dahi handi celebration and his playful and mischievous side. Vice Principal Prashant, Headmistress Anitha and Administrative Officer Chitranjan Mohapatra were present on the occasion.  Chairman, Dr Sudhakar Rao Polsani, Director (Academics) Dr T Lalitha Kumari conveyed their best wishes to the extended family of VRS. Principal Renuka Balivada, appreciated the students for their scintillating performance.
