KARIMNAGAR, JULY 21, 2024: Residents of Karimnagar town celebrated the Bonalu festival amid gaiety and religious fervour on Sunday. They offered bonam to Maisamma thalli and Madelaiah and other temples of village goddesses.
Women and men alike went to the temple with the pots of bonalu on their heads. Several men also participated in the bonalu. Many people visited the temples and prayed the Goddess for their wellness, bountiful of rainfall and bumper harvest.
Mayor Y Shekhar Rao participated in Bonalu along with local corporator Sridevi Chandramouli at Maisamma temple at Goddamgadda and Madelaiah temple in Bhagathnagar
