NTPC Ramagundam commitment towards full compliance in Ash utilization

PEDDAPALLI, JUNE 23, 2024: The NTPC Ramagundam has clarified that they were following all the guidelines of the Union Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change for the utilization of 100 per cent ash (fly ash and bottom ash) generated in a three years cycle to protect the environment from pollution.

In an official release here on Saturday, the NTPC Ramagundam stated that “As per the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, every coal or lignite-based thermal power plant shall be responsible for utilising average 100 per cent ash (fly ash and bottom ash) generated in a three years cycle. To achieve an average 100% ash utilization, NTPC Ramagundam is following all the guidelines of the Government”.

NTPC Ramagundam stands firmly in its adherence to the comprehensive rules and regulations established by both governmental authorities and NTPC itself regarding the utilization of ash generated from its thermal power plant operations. Every aspect of the whole process, from initial ash collection to its final utilization in various project sites is meticulously governed to ensure full compliance with environmental standards and operational guidelines. Through a stringent framework of all the procedures and checks, including transparent bidding processes for transporting agencies and meticulous documentation of ash quantities delivered and utilized, It ensures that there is no tolerance for deviation.
