PEDDAPALLI, MAY 12, 2024: International Mother’s day was celebrated with much enthusiasm and excitement at NTPC Ramagundam & Telangana with Girl empower Mission (GEM) girls and their mothers on Sunday.
Incidentally, the students and mothers, who were from the rural background were so happy and most of them celebrated Mother’s Day for the first time.
Mrs Jyotsna Tripathi, Vice President, Deepthi Mahila Samithi graced the event as chief guest along with Mrs V. Padmashree, welfare Incharge and other senior members of DMS. More than 500 people joined the event and enjoyed all the performances by GEM girls and the fun games. The students were given sweets on the occasion.
Students recited poems, gave speeches, and sang songs to express their gratitude towards their mothers. Love between mother and child was presented in the form of a dance by the students which stirred everyone’s emotions.
