TIRUMALA, JUNE 20, 2024: The TTD has resumed scanning of Divya Darshan token at 1200th step along Srivari Mettu footpath route and the trial run for the same is carried out on Thursday.
The devotees who have taken Divya Darshan tokens at Srivari Mettu shall have to undergo scanning at 1200th step or else will not be allowed in Darshan queue lines as was in practice earlier. The devotees are requested to make note of this change and plan their darshan accordingly.
TTD EO reviews monsoon preparedness at Tirumala shrine
TTD EO J Syamala Rao on Thursday evening reviewed on the Monsoon Preparedness by the Engineering department. The review meeting took place at Gokulam Rest House in Tirumala.
The officials explained how the second ghat road has been restored when it was affected with the falling of boulders due to heavy rains in the years 1996, 2004, 2005, 2015 and recently in 2021 through power point presentation.
Later they also explained him about the five dams in Tirumala which are the main sources of water to the pilgrims besides Kalyani Dam in Tirumala. The EO instructed the Engineering officials to have a Disaster Management Plan to counter such incidents if any with preparedness in future.
Later the EO also reviewed the procurement and warehousing departments. In the review meetings JEOs Goutami, Veerabrahmam, CE Nageswara Rao, SE2 Jagadeeshwar Reddy, EEs Surendranath Reddy, Srihari, DE Electrical Ravishankar Reddy, GM Procurement Murali Krishna, DyEO Warehouse Padmavati and others were also present.
