KARIMNAGAR, OCTOBER 29, 2024: Collector Pamela Satpathy distributed 10 Smart Television sets to the Karimnagar District Jail authorities on Tuesday.
The Collector visited the district jail and distributed the TVs to the superintendent K Srinivas. On this occasion, the Collector inspected the jail barracks and observed the facilities being provided to the prisoners. She inspected the kitchen, canteen, and factory where the prisoners designed various products including furniture, a tailoring room, a telephone room, a library, a hospital barrack etc. She also inspected the food served to the prisoners, visited the store room, and inspected the quality of food products. She launched the TV at the barrack.
Speaking on the occasion, the Collector informed the jail authorities to take all necessary measures to transform the prisoners and remove their mental stress. She also advised them to conduct regular medical check-ups for the under-trial persons and prisoners. District jailers P Srinivas and Ramesh, deputy jailers A Srinivas Reddy, Sudhakar, and others were also present.
