KARIMNAGAR, APRIL 20, 2024: In a strange development, Warangal Regional Director K Satyanarayana Reddy on Saturday suspended ZPHS LMD Colony Complex School Headmaster P Rajabhanu Chandra Prakash on the charges of negligence of his legitimate duties as DDO (drawing and disbursing officer) resulting in financial misappropriation of Rs 10,07,165 pertaining to the remittance of leave salary of teachers.
It may be mentioned here that the ZPHS LMD colony headmaster, who noticed the embezzlement of funds to the tune of over Rs 10 lakhs for forging his signature by junior assistant G Tirumala and her husband K Rajakumar in the first week of April this year, had lodged a complaint with the LMD police station, who registered criminal case against the junior assistant and her husband under IPC 420, 409, 465 (forgery) and other sections. He also lodged a complaint with the DEO, District Treasury Office and State Bank of India Collectorate branch in Karimnagar about misappropriation of funds by producing fake challans by forging his signature.
Mr Rajabhanu Chandra Prakash, who is also state president of Gazetted Headmasters association, along with other headmasters had met Collector Pamela Satpathy and submitted a detailed report in 60 pages petition providing all evidences and confession letter of junior assistant, who had siphoned off the amount and forged challans.
The district authorities have also conducted an inquiry and found that the junior assistant and husband were guilty and given clean chit to the headmaster. Ironically, the junior assistant and her husband were made to go scot-free and the sincere headmaster was made a scapegoat for no his no fault in the embezzlement of funds. The Gazetted headmasters association leaders have expressed shock over the suspension of their state president without any reason. They said that the suspension of headmaster sends a wrong message among the teaching community and leads to indiscipline among the teachers.
