
Union Minister G Kishan Reddy Distributes Appointment Letters at the 17th Rozgar Mela in Hyderabad
HYDERABAD, OCTOBER 24, 2025: Union Minister of Coal and Mines, G. Kishan Reddy, distributed appointment letters to newly selected central government employees during the 17th Rozgar Mela, which took place on Friday, at the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Auditorium in Basheer Bagh, Hyderabad.
In his address to the new appointees, Minister Reddy highlighted that over 1.1 million people have received appointment letters from Prime Minister Modi in the past two years. He emphasised that these roles are crucial in realising PM Modi’s vision of a “Viksit Bharat” (Developed India).
He stated, “This is not just a job; it is an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the nation’s development.” He also underscored the Prime Minister’s initiative to transform youth from job seekers into job creators, with strong support for startups. “Over the past 11 years under PM Modi’s leadership, India has achieved significant progress across multiple sectors, from agriculture to technology,” he added.
The event was attended by Dr. Veena Kumari Dermal, Chief Postmaster General of the Telangana Circle; Basab Mukhopadhyay, Additional Director General and Head of Department, Southern Region, Geological Survey of India; S. R. Wajpe, General Manager and Head of Department, Security Printing Press, Hyderabad; Dr. Surekha Beeshwa, Division Corporator; and C. M. Sampur, Director of the Post Council, Telangana Circle.
Approximately 8 candidates from various departments received their appointment letters directly from the Union Minister. The departments represented included the Department of Posts, Geological Survey of India, Central GST & Customs, Security Printing Press Hyderabad, Maulana Azad Urdu University, IIT Hyderabad, University of Hyderabad, CSIR-IICT Hyderabad, Food Corporation of India, Income Tax Department of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Ministry of Railways, Airport Authority of India, CISF, and SSB.
The 17th Rozgar Mela was organised at 40 locations across India. At the national level, Prime Minister Sri Narendra Modi addressed the newly recruited youth in various government departments and organizations via video conference.
