KARIMNAGAR, FEBRUARY 22, 2025: Vision High School, Rekurthi, Karimnagar town, celebrated World Thinking Day here on Saturday.
World Thinking Day is celebrated every year on February 22nd by Girl Scouts and Girl Guides worldwide, marking the birthdays of Lord Robert Baden-Powell and Olave Baden-Powell, the founders of the Scouting and Girl Guide movements; it’s a day to reflect on the global sisterhood and empower girls and young women through discussions, community service projects, and fundraising initiatives focused on a yearly theme.
School Correspondents Siripuram Prasad, Sandaveni Venatesham and Thorrikonda Mallaiah, Principal Lingala Raji Reddy, Scout Master Gangarapu Mallesham, Guide Captain Gangarapu Sumalatha, teachers and others participated in the programme.
On this occasion, Correspondent Siripuram Prasad threw light on the mission started by Baden Powell for social service. Enlightening the students about World Thinking Day, he said that the Day was being celebrated to raise awareness about issues affecting girls and young women, promote global unity, and support initiatives for girls’ empowerment.
