

KARIMNAGAR, APRIL 25, 2025: World Malaria Day was observed by the students of Telangana Social Welfare Residential ACACDegree College for Women, Nagunur, Karimnagar town, on Friday.

Principal T. Malathi spearheaded an awareness programme on “World Malaria Day” at the Social Welfare Women’s Gurukula Degree College, Nagunur, Karimnagar. The initiative was a joint effort by the college’s National Service Scheme (NSS) unit and the Microbiology Department.
The programme aimed to educate the students about World Malaria Day and the guidelines stipulated by the World Health Organisation (WHO). Emphasis was placed on understanding how to prevent malaria in India. As part of the event, a poster competition was organized for the students, and prizes were distributed to the winners.
The programme witnessed the participation of College Principal T Malathi, Vice Principal G. Samatha, S. Padmaja, College Medical Officer Dr. M. Chaitanya, National Service Scheme (NSS) Program Officer, Head of the Microbiology Department K. Geeta Rani, faculty members P. Pravitha, A. Sandhya Rani, and a large number of students.
