KARIMNAGAR, APRIL 14, 2025: A special assembly was held at Vivekananda Residential School (CBSE) in Karimnagar town on Thursday (April 24, 2025) on the occasion of National Panchayat Raj Day to promote the values of grassroots democracy and self-governance among students. The highlight of the event was an engaging skit performed by the students, depicting the functioning of a Grama Sabha meeting and emphasising its vital role in local self-governance.

Through the skit, students effectively showcased how decisions are made at the village level, encouraging community participation and responsible citizenship in resolving their daily life issues. The performance was both informative and thought-provoking, drawing attention to the power of collective decision-making.
Addressing the assembly, Principal Renuka Balivada of the school encouraged students and teachers to adopt the concept of self-governance in classrooms. She emphasised that involving students in classroom decisions would nurture their decision-making skills, responsibility, and leadership.
The event reflected the vision of the Chairman, Dr. Sudhakar Rao Polasani, and the Director, Dr. Lalitha Kumari, who strongly believe in instilling the values of good governance and responsible citizenship in young minds. Their guidance continues to inspire educational practices that go beyond academics and prepare students to become active, informed citizens.
