KARIMNAGAR, APRIL 01, 2025: Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar has met Union Minister of State for Law and Justice Arjun Ram Meghwal and submitted a memorandum seeking Bar Council of India permission for Satavahana University in Karimnagar to launch the LLB course from the academic year 2025-26 onwards.
The Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, along with Satavahana University Vice Chancellor U Umesh Kumar, Registrar J Ravi Kumar and others, met the Union Minister for Law and Justice in the Parliament on Tuesday and submitted a memorandum seeking early sanction of Bar Council of India permission to start the LLB course.
Later, they met Union Minister for Sports Mansukh Mandaviya and submitted a memorandum seeking funds under the ‘Khelo India’ scheme to the Satavahana University for the construction of a multi-purpose building and the conduct of inter-college, inter-university sports competitions. Both the Union Ministers had responded positively to the pleas made by Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar.
However, there are widespread rumours over the VC and Registrar accompanying a former Mayor to meet the Union Ministers for the official works of the Satavahana University, which are in no way concerned with a local politician, who had never helped the University during his five year tenure.
