KARIMNAGAR, JANUARY 22, 2025: In a major boost to empowering the girls and rural women, the Rotary Club of Karimnagar donated five bicycles and 10 sewing machines on Wednesday.
Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar handed over the bicycles to five girl students of ZPHS Indurthi School and distributed 10 sewing machines to the poor womenfolk for their economic empowerment.
Speaking on the occasion, the Union Minister called upon the girl students to utilise the bicycles attend classes regularly and excel in their chosen careers. He also informed the womenfolk to use sewing machines and turn into entrepreneurs by taking up tailoring work.
Rotary club president Gorityala Venkat Kishan, secretary Paka Pawan Krishna, former governor DK Anand, Rotarians Raji Reddy, Cheeti Rama Rao, G Anand Kumar, P Tirupati, Aleef Khan and others participated. ZPHS Indurthi teacher B Odelu Kumar thanked the noble gesture of the Rotary Club of Karimnagar.
