KARIMNAGAR, AUGUST 13, 2024: R Lalitha, librarian of the Telangana Social Welfare Residential Degree College, Nagunuru, on the outskirts of Karimnagar, has bagged the ‘Best Librarian Award’ from the Madras Library Association on the occasion of National Librarians Day on August 12.
At a function organised in Chennai on Monday, Ms Lalitha was felicitated and presented the award. Incidentally, she is the first woman librarian from the entire Telangana state social welfare residential schools and colleges to secure the award.
On this occasion, college principal T Malathi, Vice principal G Samatha, senior faculty members D Srihari, office superintendent T Suresh, S Padmaja, P Shankaraiah, faculty members and others felicitated Lalitha for her achievement by presenting her with a shawl and a bouquet.
