
RAJANNA-SIRCILLA, JANUARY 30, 2025: Faculty members and students of Telangana Social Welfare Residential Degree College for Women (Sircilla) in Shatrajpalli near Vemulawada paid rich tributes to Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi on the occasion of his death anniversary, which is observed as martyrs day, at a programme conducted in association with Nehru Yuva Kendra on Thursday.
On this occasion, the participants observed a two-minute silence as a mark of respect. The students were enlightened about the life of Mahatma Gandhi and history of the Indian freedom struggle and the role of Gandhi and his non-violent movement for the liberation of the country from the clutches of Britishers.

The prizes were distributed to the students who excelled in the essay writing and elocution competitions conducted on the occasion. The students presented a short play depicting the Indian freedom movement. Principal K Lavanya, Vice Principal B Sumalatha, faculty members and others were also present.
