TPUS to launch series of agitations from October 23 onwards demanding release of DA to employees

KARIMNAGAR, OCTOBER 22, 2024: The Telangana Prantha Upadhyay Sangham (TPUS) Telangana state unit has given a call to intensify agitations demanding the government to release pending DA immediately. Accordingly, the TPUS has planned a of series agitational programmes.

Beginning on October 23, wherein the teachers would wear black badges and lodge their protest. On October 28, they would submit memorandums to the Tahsildars, on November 5, they would stage dharnas in front of the Collectorates and on November 23, they would stage a massive state-wide dharna at Indira Park in Hyderabad.

In a statement here on Tuesday, TPUS district president Katta Rajesh and general secretary Annamaneni Tirupati Rao and state secretary Ambati Venu Kumar said that the employees and teachers were expecting the new government would clear the pending PRC and DA for last 10 months, but in vain. Flaying the government for not fulfilling the promises made during the elections, they also found fault with the government for not even cleaning the medical bills and retirement benefits to the employees.

TPUS leaders District assistant presidents A Sampath Kumar, V Karunakar Rao and K Sridhar Reddy, district vice president K Haricharan, B Pawan Kumar, K Shara, Anuradha, Sridevi, Jhansi Rani, Vanitha Kumari, district leaders R Srinivas, R Pawan Kumar, K Latchaiah, K Ravinder Reddy, S Ravi, Sayanna, Krishna Murthy, Chandrashekhar, Shanti Raj and others were also present.
