HYDERABAD, JANUARY 24, 2025: Tiny Tots of The Play School, Sister Nivedita School, Ameerpet, Hyderabad, celebrated Republic Day well in advance with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour on Friday.
The programme began with the children’s rendition of melodious songs filling young minds with love for the country. In ‘Bharateeyam’ programme, the children dressed up in costumes of different states including tri-colour costumes carrying the national flag. The young Niveditans, dressed up as Armed Forces of India and performed a scintillating dance number on a patriotic song making the audience tap their feet and raise the slogan, “Jai Ho!” in unison.
The students were enlightened about the importance of celebrating Republic Day after the Indian Constitution was written and enforced on January 26, 1950. The Constitution gave India and all its citizens their due place and recognition.
Principal Dr T. Lalitha Kumari greeted everyone on this occasion. She shared her thoughts on democracy, saying that we are fortunate to have been in the world’s largest democracy. She also said that one’s personal growth leads to the growth of the country, and this can be achieved only by continuous learning.
Chairman of the school Dr Sudhakar Rao Polsani, and Correspondent of the school Rtn. Hari Hara Prasad emphasized that today’s students hold their country’s future in their hands. It is important for the welfare of the country that its present generation realize that the future is in its hands.
This Republic Day, let us honour the spirit of freedom and democracy and pledge to be responsible citizens and work towards a better nation. Let us join the people across the country to celebrate the unity and diversity that makes our nation great.
