TG SAFE suspends FSSAI licences of four establishments in Banjara Hills and Lakdikapool

Issues show-cause notices issued to three establishments, including Central Court, in Lakdikapool

HYDERABAD, SEPTEMBER 10, 2026: Telangana State Food Safety Authority (TG SAFE) teams from the Enforcement Wing, Food Safety Officers and police personnel have conducted a special drive on various food establishments such as restaurants, bakeries, sweet shops, and hotels in Banjara Hills and Lakdikapool areas and inspected 21 establishments.

The FSSAI licenses of the following establishments are being suspended, with instructions to stop business operations immediately in the interest of public health

1. Lakshmi Sri Balaji Sweets and Bakery at Banjara Hills pest infestation, expired food articles, poor personal hygiene, unhygienic preparation of food and lack of records
2. Girl Friend Mandi at Banjara Hills for cockroach and rodent infestation, improper maintenance of refrigerators and storage and lack of records,
3. Kholani’s Fine Dine Restaurant at Banjara Hills for very unhygienic maintenance of kitchen, poor maintenance of refrigerators, fungal contamination on vegetables, improper disposal of garbage and lack of records
4. Kakatiya Tiffins Meals and Snacks at Banjara Hills for violation of labelling norms, unhygienic premises, lack of personal hygiene of food handlers, Rodent infestation, rotten vegetables and lack of records

The details of the establishments inspected are as below:

1. Casa Laban at Banjara Hills
2. 7 Sisters at Banjara Hills
3. DAAJ Hotels and resorts pvt Ltd- Radission Blue Plaza at Banjara Hills
4. Momentale Hospitality pvt Ltd (Habitat Café) at Banjara Hills
5. Sri Venkateshwara Hotel at Lakdikapool
6. The Central Court at Lakdikapool
7. Girl Friend Mandi at Banjara Hills
8. Keshava Reddy Sweets at Banjara Hills
9. Concu at Banjara Hills
10. Labonel Fine Baking at Banjara Hills
11. Kholani’s Fine Dine Restaurant at Banjara Hills
12. Dakini Sweet Treats at Banjara Hills
13. Lakshmi Sri Balaji Sweets and Bakery at Banjara hills
14. All Seasons Restaurant at Banjara Hills
15. Minerva Grand Banjara
16. Kakatiya Tiffins Meals and Snacks at Banjara Hills
17. Star Isthara PG for Women at Banjara Hills
18. Sarvi Food Court at Banjara Hills
19. Seasons Express Restaurant at Banjara Hills
20. The Nawab’s Restaurant at Banjara Hills
21. Hotel Ashoka at Lakdikapool

During the course of inspection, the officials have noticed the following violations in some of the establishments

1. Usage of spoiled/contaminated meat and vegetables, which have been discarded on the spot
2. Cockroach, Housefly and Rodent Infestation
3. Unhygienic premises
4. Violations in maintenance of records
5. Refrigerators being maintained in unclean conditions without proper segregation between veg and non-vegetarian foods and labelling of foods
6. Presence of expired food articles and food articles with pest infestation
7. Food handlers not maintaining proper hygiene

In view of the violations, the following actions are being taken

1. (13) samples have been lifted on suspicion of adulteration
2. Spoiled/rotten vegetables and food articles found to be infested with insects/pests were discarded on the spot
3. Improvement notices will be issued to 7 Sisters Restaurant, Momentale Hospitality Pvt Ltd (Habitat Café), The Nawab’s Restaurant, Keshava Reddy Sweets, Seasons Express Restaurant and All Seasons Restaurant at Banjara Hills, Sri Venkateshwara Lodge and Ashoka Hotel at Lakdikapool for rectification of the lapses identified during the inspection. The establishments will be revisited to verify the status of compliance with the food safety norms, and further action will be taken based on reinspection.
4. Show Cause Notices will be issued to M/s Casa Laban, Sarvi Food Court, Dakini Sweet Treats at Banjara Hills and The Central Court Hotel at Lakdikapool for the violations reported during the inspections and further action will be initiated for imposing penalties.
