HYDERABAD, JANUARY 06, 2026: The Telangana State youth contingent will participate in the 29th National Youth Festival (NYF) 2026, scheduled to be held from 9th to 12th January 2026 in New Delhi. The festival is being organised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, ahead of the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue (VBYLD) 2026.
In this connection, the Department of Youth Services, Government of Telangana, in collaboration with My Bharat Telangana, organised a Send Off Programme today at Lok Bhavan (Raj Bhavan), Telangana, to encourage and felicitate the selected youth delegates.
A total of 68 youth delegates from Telangana have been selected for participation in the 29th National Youth Festival 2026, comprising 45 delegates under the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue (VBYLD) 2026 Track and 23 delegates under the Cultural Track. These delegates will join over 3,000 youth from across the country at the National Youth Festival and present their innovative ideas on building Viksit Bharat @2047 before the Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The final event of the festival will be held on 12th January 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.
During the programme, the Hon’ble Governor of Telangana, Jishnu Dev Varma, interacted with the youth delegates and extended his best wishes, encouraging them to confidently present their ideas on nation-building before the Hon’ble Prime Minister.
Smt. Dr. A. Sonibala Devi, IFS, Vice-Chairman and Managing Director, SATG, and Commissioner of Youth Services (I/c), briefed the delegates on the objectives and significance of VBYLD 2026.
The programme was also attended by K. Venugopal Rao, Managing Director, SETWIN; G. Rajesh, Assistant Director, My Bharat; Khushbu Gupta, District Youth Officer, Hyderabad; T. Isaiah, District Youth Officer, Rangareddy; and other officials and staff members.
