
HYDERABAD, JUNE 24, 2025: In a proud moment for Telangana, the state police department has been recognised as the best-performing force in the country for passport applicant verification, thanks to its pioneering use of the in-house developed ‘VeriFast’ app.
The award was presented in New Delhi on Tuesday, Mr B Shivadhar Reddy, Director General of Intelligence, Telangana Police, by Minister of State for External Affairs Pabitra Margherita on the occasion of Passport Seva Divas.

According to the Ministry of External Affairs’ latest national statistics, Telangana leads the country in rapid passport verification, resolving a majority of cases within just three working days.
