KARIMNAGAR, SEPTEMBER 09, 2026: Telangana Language Day celebrations were held grandly at Trinity – The School of Learning, Salehnagar, Karimnagar, to commemorate the 111th birth anniversary of the Telangana icon and people’s poet Kaloji Narayana Rao on Wednesday (September 09, 2026).
Various cultural programmes were organised to introduce students to the richness of the Telangana language, dialect, culture and literary heritage. On this occasion, students enthusiastically presented poems, verses, riddles and shlokas, along with dance performances reflecting the traditions and culture of Telangana. The outstanding performances of the students captivated everyone present.
It was highlighted during the programme that Kaloji Narayana Rao was a great personality who reflected the Telangana language, the lifestyle of its people and social awareness through his writings, and that it is the responsibility of everyone to introduce his valuable literary contributions to future generations.
On this occasion, the Chairman of the School, Dasari Prashanth Reddy, and the Academic Director, Dr. Dasari Mamatha Reddy, addressed the gathering. They stated that although learning the English language is essential in the present day, we should never forget our mother tongue, Telugu, especially the Telangana language and dialect. They encouraged students to learn Telugu and appreciate the Telangana dialect along with English and to speak their mother tongue with pride.
The programme was attended by the Principal, Ratnamala Behara; Coordinators, Srikanth and Suma Priya, Telugu HOD, Bhaskar; and Telugu teachers, Gangajali and Srilatha, who contributed to making the programme a grand success.
The school management stated that the main objective of the programme was to develop love for the Telugu language, respect for the Telangana dialect, and interest in our culture and literature among students. The Principal congratulated the students for participating enthusiastically and making the programme a success.
The Telangana Language Day celebrations, organised in the spirit of Kaloji’s birth anniversary, created an atmosphere of enthusiasm throughout the school and further enhanced students’ interest in the Telangana language, dialect, literature and culture.
