Telangana Government removes internal marks for SSC exams

TRSMA state chief advisor Y Shekhar Rao suggests the state government introduce the new system during the start of the new academic year

KARIMNAGAR, NOVEMBER 28, 2024: The Director of School Education has issued an order stating that there will not be any internal marks in the ensuing Secondary School Certificate examinations from the academic year 2024-25.

According to an official order issued on Thursday, the Education Department stated that they were dispensing with the grading system and removal of internal marks from this academic year.

Welcoming the decision, TRSMA state chief advisor and contestant from Karimnagar Graduates constituency legislative council elections Mr Yadagiri Shekhar Rao said that the government should have announced the decision in the beginning of the academic year. Already, the students have spent huge amounts for the preparation of project reports and submission of records, he said. He suggested that the government should introduce the new system in the new academic year instead of the middle of the academic year when already the schools have completed the syllabus and preparing for the examinations.

SSC 100% External Marks – Academic Year 2024-25

As per the new government orders, there will be no internal marks and all subjects will have 100 marks including biological sciences 50 marks and physical sciences 50 marks. There will not be grading and the government has announced the disclosing of marks in the SSC exams.

In the SSC exams, the government will issue an answer booklet with 24 pages for Telugu, Hindi, English, Maths and Social studies. For the Science subject, they would issue 12 page answer booklet for biological sciences and 12 pages for physical sciences. There are no additional answer sheets.
