
HYDERABAD, SEPTEMBER 07, 2026: C. Sudharsan Reddy, the Chief Electoral Officer, Telangana, along with Dr. Vasam Venkateswar Reddy, Additional Chief Electoral Officer, and G.S. Chary, Dy. CEO held a video conference with the Commissioner, GHMC & District Election Officer, Hyderabad, all District Election Officers (DEOs) and Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) regarding the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR)-2026.
During the meeting, he focused on issues relating to the delivery of notices and the conduct of hearings under SIR-2026 and gave the following instructions:
Notice Delivery: To ensure that every notice is delivered by the BLO to the concerned elector in person. BLOs should seek the assistance of Booth Level Agents (BLAs) to locate elector addresses, particularly in urban areas.
Pendency Clearance: Utilise the additional logins provided to the districts and to ensure pendency is cleared on time.
To ensure that the Un-Mapping and Anomalies case lists are shared with the political parties during the political party meetings and encourage BLAs to actively participate during the claims and objections period.
The proper Uploading of Documents should be done by BLOs, BLO Supervisors and AEROs as per the ECI guidelines. The computer operators should not make mistakes and the EROs/AEROs will be held responsible for mistakes committed by the computer operators under their Supervision.
The supervisors are instructed to go to the residences of aged persons and persons with disabilities (PwDs) where the polling locations have not been covered.
Help desks at the ERO and DEO level are made operational / activated to assist the electors.
Further, the CEO reviewed the progress with the DEOs of all districts regarding the serving of notices, hearing schedules and clearance of pending cases in ERO and DEO logins.
The Nodal Officers and PM (IT) also attended the Video Conference.
