KARIMNAGAR, MARCH 29, 2026: Volunteers of NSS Unnits 1 and 3 of the SRR Government Arts and Science College in Karimnagar town participated in the Swachh Bharat initiative of the Clean and Green programme in Kokkerakunta and Vannaram villages as part of the sixth day of NSS special camp in Karimnagar district on Sunday.
As part of the campaign, NSS volunteers participated in the cleanliness drive in the village surroundings by removing waste and creating awareness among the public about environmental protection.
Satavahana University NSS Programme Officer D. Vijay Kumar visited Kokkerakunta and Vannaram villages to observe the programme and appreciated the services and cleaning work carried out by the volunteers. He praised the volunteers for their continuous service and dedication over the past six days.

Further, Government doctor Dr Sharada (Gynaecologist) created awareness among girl students about health and hygiene. She provided important information on breast cancer and cervical cancer, including preventive measures and precautions.
This program was successfully conducted under the guidance of NSS Programme Officers B Elizabeth Rani and K. Arjun. The event was attended by Kokkerakunta Sarpanch Jadi Sharada, Upa-Sarpanch Kumar, ward members, NSS Units 1 and 3 students, and volunteers.
Through this special camp, awareness of social responsibility, environmental sustainability, and public cleanliness is being effectively promoted in the villages.
