PEDDAPALLI, OCTOBER 26, 2026: The Surakshit Bachpan Abhiyan, a pan-India awareness campaign organised under the aegis of Manthani Mandal Legal Services Committee, was conducted at Zilla Parishad High School (girls) in Manthani town on Monday.
Manthani senior judge Malladi Aparna, School incharge headmaster Geetla Bharath Reddy, Bar association leaders K Raghotham Reddy, Sashibushan Kache, Gauthami Sri Lakshmi, Vyas Kumar and others enlightened the students about their rights, distinguishing between ‘good touch’ and ‘bad touch’, online safety, and reporting mechanisms.
They informed the students to use the following emergency and support helplines such as; Child Helpline 1098, National Emergency Number 112, Women’s helpline 181, Cyber crime helpline 1930, NALSA legal aid helpline 15100 etc. The speakers raised awareness about the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012.
