KARIMNAGAR, AUGUST 22, 2024: Drug addiction should be eradicated for a better future. Students and teachers could play a big role in this regard. There is a need to create awareness of ill-effects of using drugs among the public. Because it is not the individual but the whole society is affected when a person is addicted to drugs, said Karimnagar district Prohibition and Excise Officer Srinivasa Rao, here on Thursday.
Speaking at a programme organised against drug abuse by the Vivekananda Degree and PG college in Karimnagar town, the Excise officer said an awareness programme would be conducted in all schools and colleges in the district. He administered an oath against drug abuse to the students of the college.
Principal Ch Srinivas, NSS programme Officer Dhanapuri Sagar, Child Helpine district coordinator A Sampath, Excise SI A Robert, social worker Kavitha Devi, faculty members and others were also present.
