Students of VRS celebrates New Year eve with a message to protect environment

HYDERABAD, DECEMBER 31, 2024:  Students of Vivekananda Residential School (CBSE) Karimnagar town celebrated the New Year eve in a different way to welcome New Year 2025 with new resolutions and pledged to save environment on Tuesday.

“A new year is not just about starting something new. It’s also about putting the past behind along with the tears, triumphs, and regrets. It’s about clearing up mental space for new adventures and knowledge. So be an empty cup and fill it with gold.” It is this thought that inspired the students of Grade 7 of Vivekananda Residential School to welcome the New Year 2025 with a thought provoking assembly program on December 31, 2024. The event began with a prayer for prosperity and harmony in the coming year. Students enthusiastically participated in the assembly emphasizing the importance of new beginnings and resolutions.

A highlight of the assembly was a recap of India’s remarkable achievements in 2024. Students delivered speeches on milestones in agriculture, such as advancements in sustainable farming and record food grain production. The education sector’s progress in technology-driven learning and higher literacy rates was applauded.

The assembly also highlighted government initiatives that boosted employment and the robust growth in the economy, including advancements in renewable energy and infrastructure. Achievements in sports, with Indian athletes excelling on global platforms, and the nation’s strides in space exploration, including the successful launch of advanced satellites, filled the audience with pride.

Students also wished the school with a melodious new year song. The Principal Ms. Renuka Balivada congratulated the children for their outstanding performance and conveyed the wishes and blessings of the Chairman, Dr.Sudhakar Rao Polasani and the Director ( Academics), Dr. Lalitha Kumari on the new year. The students interacted enthusiastically with the principal about the assembly’s take away and how they wish to make positive changes in 2025. The assembly left everyone motivated to contribute to a brighter future for India.
