HANAMKONDA, FEBRUARY 17, 2026: Students of Vaagdevi Degree and PG College in Hanamkonda brought laurels to the institution by securing the Second Prize with a cash award of ₹ 5,000 at the Bio Innovation Hackathon 2026 held at the University of Hyderabad.
The achievement came from BtZC VI Semester students B. Sai Pavan Kumar and Nikhil, under the guidance of Renuka Gattu. The team presented an innovative research paper at the Hackathon organised by the Department of Zoology and impressed the jury with their scientific approach and practical application of ideas.

The students were appreciated for their outstanding performance and academic excellence by the Secretary Devender Reddy, Director Vahini Devi, Principal A. Sheshachalam, Vice Principal P. Harinder Reddy, along with K. Himabindu, A. Srinivas Reddy, P. Suresh, other faculty members, and students who attended the programme.

The management congratulated the winners and encouraged students to actively participate in national-level academic events to enhance research skills and innovation culture.
