
Fifteen final-year students of the BSc (Hons) Design and Technology programme are qualified for NIFT PG admissions
RAJANNA-SIRCILLA, JUNE 06, 2026: The students of Telangana Social Welfare Residential Women’s Degree College (TGSWRDC), Vemulawada, have once again proved their academic excellence by achieving remarkable success in the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) Postgraduate Entrance Examination (PGE) 2026.
Known for its quality education, modern facilities, and dedicated faculty, the college has been consistently creating opportunities for young women to excel in academics, creativity, and professional education. Adding another feather to its cap, 15 final-year students of the B.Sc. (Hons.) Design and Technology program have qualified in the highly competitive NIFT postgraduate admissions process.
The students successfully cleared both the written examination, which included negative marking, and the personal interviews conducted in New Delhi. Their outstanding performance has earned them eligibility for admission into prestigious postgraduate programs such as M.F.Tech., M.Des., and M.F.Management at NIFT.
In this examination, D. Keerthi secured an impressive All India Common Merit Rank (AIR) 16 and achieved 5th rank in the OBC category. C. Priyanka secured AIR 30 along with 3rd rank in the SC category. Further adding to the institution’s success, B. Navya secured AIR 31, S. Maheshwari secured AIR 32, K. Triveni secured AIR 33, S. Aasiya secured AIR 34, M. Lakshmi secured AIR 35, and P. Lokeshwari secured AIR 36, bringing greater recognition and prestige to the college through their outstanding performance.
In the M.Design. category: B. Praneetha secured 26th rank, K. Nandini 61st rank, D. Anusha 80th rank, M. Amuktamalyada 89th rank, and A. Geethanjali 90th rank. N. Chandana achieved a special distinction by qualifying for both M.Des. and M.F.Management, securing 99th and 92nd ranks, respectively. B. Shobharani also qualified for M.F.Management with a 95th rank.
This achievement is particularly significant as all the successful candidates belong to the very first batch of the B.Sc. (Hons.) Design and Technology program offered by the college. Their success reflects not only their hard work and determination but also the strong academic foundation and mentorship provided by the institution.
The college has been actively encouraging students to develop skills in design, innovation, research, and technology, enabling them to compete successfully at national-level platforms. Over the years, students from the institution have continued to excel in higher education, employment, and competitive examinations.
