KARIMNAGAR, JULY 12, 2024: Students of Blue Bells High School, Hanumannagar, Karimnagar, celebrated the mehendi festivities with much pomp and gaiety on their school campus on Friday as part of auspicious Ashadam month celebrations wherein the traditional Bonalu festivals are celebrated in the Telangana region.
The school special pasted the mehendi or Gorintaku and decorated with flowers before applying to the girl students and teachers. The girl students designed different designs of mehendi on their palms and celebrated the event with joy.
Explaining the importance of applying the mehendi on palms and feet, School principal Janga Sunitha Manohar Reddy said that the Ayurveda says that applying mehendi would reduce body heat, boosts immunity and increases blood circulation. Using natural henna, derived from nature instead of artificial colours, is recommended for maximum health benefits, she stated.
