

KARIMNAGAR, FEBRUARY 28, 2025: Students of Bhagavathi High School and Arvintree High School in Bhagathnagar, Karimnagar, celebrated National Science Day to commemorate the discovery of the ‘Raman Effect’ by Indian Physicist Sri CV Raman on Friday (February 28, 2025).
On this occasion, the students participate in different activities, including the display of science exhibits on various subjects such as awareness on Acid rains, Metal detectors, and conservation of rain water through water harvesting structures, easy agriculture technologies, futuristic transport and more. The students took part with great zeal to show their interest in science.
Celebrations began with School Chairman B Ramana Rao and Director B Vijayalaxmi lighting the lamp and paying floral tributes to the portrait of Sir CV Raman, who had discovered the Raman effect on this day in 1928. For his discovery, he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1930. Science teachers Pradeep and K Sirisha explained to the students the national theme of Innovation for Viksit Bharath. The students also presented cultural programmes on the importance of science and Chandrayaan.
