JAGTIAL, JANUARY 05, 2026: Students of Alphores e-techno school, Shiva Street, in Jagtial town, had transformed the school in rural setting to celebrate the traditional Sankranthi festivities by letting their creativity flow with rangoli and traditional patterns on Monday.
In the midst of a concrete jungle, the Alphores school was transformed into huts. Girls dressed up in traditional attire while boys donned the garb of Haridasu. They also designed the houses with bullock carts and recreated scenes of the arrival of fresh crops to show the festival environment.
Alphores educational institutions chairman V Narender Reddy launched the celebrations by lighting the traditional campfire (Bhogi mantalu). He also participated in ‘Bhogi pallu (Indian berries), a manner of blessing the children by showering them with berries and flowers.

The school came alive with the students dressed in traditional attire taking part in a row of cultural activities with lots of enthusiasm. Mr Narender Reddy explained the importance of the festival, such as harvesting of crops in various parts of the country and preparation of delicious dishes such as ‘sakinalu’, ‘Ariselu’ and other snacks. He also empowered the students about the importance of kite flying during Sankranthi festivities.
