SRR College conducts a national webinar on the Adoption of AI in Research: Boon or Bane

KARIMNAGAR, FEBRUARY 05, 2025: Professor Kaushik Chatterjee of St. Xaviers Autonomous College (A) Kolkata, West Bengal reiterated that with the new advancements in modern technology, Artificial Intelligence (AI) is widely being used in business and industrial sectors as well as in research at large.

Department of Commerce and Business Administration of SRR Govt. Arts and Science College (Autonomous), Karimnagar organized a National Webinar on ‘Adoption of Artificial Intelligence in Research: Boon or Bane’. Speaking on this occasion, Resource Person Prof Koushik Chatterjee said that artificial intelligence has become an integral part of every field in the present world and it is widely used in research as well. He clearly explained various types of artificial intelligence applications and tools such as Research Rabbit, Chat PDF Trinka, Consensus Note GPT, ChatGPT, and Deep Seek. He also said that if artificial intelligence is used for quality research, it will be a boon or else it will reduce the creativity power of humans and become a curse.

On this occasion, College Principal Prof Kalvakunta Ramakrishna said that artificial intelligence plays a prominent role in research and that faculty and students should leverage modern AI applications for their quality research. Mr T Rajaiah, Head of the Department of Commerce and Business Administration said that currently, the faculty are using Chat GPT, Deep Seek and other AI applications extensively in their research work thus making the research easier.

 

National Webinar Coordinator Mr M Malla Reddy said that 1200 people from different states across the country and other countries had registered for the webinar and participated through various media. He said that artificial intelligence should be used as much as necessary in research and should not be completely relied on. In this programme College Vice Principal Nitin Pathak, TGCGTA General Secretary Kadaru Surender Reddy Vice Chairman T Rajaiah,  Convener of Webinar Malla Reddy Staff Club Secretary M. Srinivas Reddy, Commerce Faculty R. Ramakrishna, Harjot Kaur, Boorla Naresh, K. Arjun, Sirisha Aravind Narmada Mallesham Ramulu Raju Nagaraju Sirisha and students participated.
