KARIMNAGAR, OCTOBER 13, 2026: Navarathri celebrations at Sri Maha Shakthi Temple are growing every year, with Dandiya and Garba nights drawing larger crowds every day.
Rising footfall has pushed the organisers of the temple to make elaborate arrangements for the surging devotees to participate in the Garba and Dandiya. With electrifying lighting and a high-voltage music system, the floor is all set for the participants to dance in rhythm with devotion.
For the next few days, the air resonates with dhol beats, Gujarati folk songs, and the rhythmic clash of Dandiya sticks. Women in their bright Ghagras and men in colourful ethnic dress and kurtas fill the dance floor, their coordinated steps creating a wave-like pattern.
Navarathri is now a blend of tradition, innovation, any community energy, where the rhythm of dhol, the swirl of skits, and the clash of Dandiyas set the festival alight. On the other hand, the Chaitanyanpuri locality where the temple is housed is packed to the brim with thousands of devotees visiting the temple to participate in the Dandiya nights.

People are eagerly waiting to participate in the Garba and Dandiya at the famous Sri Maha Shakthi temple. A woman bank employee said that she was eagerly waiting to participate in the Garba night along with her family members. “It’s not just about dance. It’s about meeting friends, reliving tradition, and feeling part of a bigger community”, she said.
