KARIMNAGAR, FEBRUARY 20, 2025: The annual intercollegiate sports meet ‘Sports Fiesta-2025’ was formally inaugurated at Jyothishmathi Institute of Technology and Sciences (JITS) (autonomous) in Karimnagar town on Thursday. The sports competitions will be conducted from February 20 to 28, 2025.
JITS Principal Anil Kumar, JITS Pharmacy college principal V Raj Kumar, JITS Dean (academics) PK Vaishali and others formally declared open the annual sports meet. On this occasion, Principal Mr Anil Kumar said that “Sports bring out hidden talent by developing a spirit of competition, cooperation, discipline, tolerance and the quality of leadership, besides physical fitness”.
The event began with a march past. Students participated in T-20 cricket and volleyball competitions. During the 10-day sports fiesta, the competitions will be conducted in throwball, table tennis, caroms, chess, kho-kho and badminton matches and athletics events.
