

HANAMKONDA, OCTOBER 26, 2024: The Pingle Government Degree College for Women, in Hanamkonda conducted a one-day national seminar on the Role of Spectroscopy in Characterisation of small molecules in association with the Royal Society of Chemistry and Government Degree College, Wardhannapet, on Friday.

Principal B Chandramouli addressed the students to take benefit of the sessions delivered by eminent scientists from reputed institutions. Narendra K Talluri, Secretary RSC-LSD as a guest of honour and key speaker spoke on the importance of spectroscopy in the Structure analysis of molecules. Shankariah from NIPER, and Srinivas from IICT gave insights on NMR &Mass spectroscopy.
The chief guest of the valedictory session, S Jyoti, Principal of University Arts and Science College, spoke about career opportunities in chemistry and also said that it is the need of the hour to put in collective effort to increase research activity and also to enhance chemistry student strength in UG and PG level. Srinivas and Aruna acted as conveners. More than 200 students and faculty from various colleges participated in the programme.
