RAJANNA-SIRCILLA, APRIL 19, 2026: Renowned poet, writer, multilingual scholar and Soldier of Indian Army Peruka Raju has been included in the prestigious “Talent Book of Records” in recognition of his extraordinary literary excellence. This honour acknowledges his powerful writings, enriched with deep social awareness and intellectual depth.
The Talent Book of Records features only a select few individuals who have demonstrated exceptional talent across various fields. On this occasion, a special ceremony was held on Sunday at Thyagaraja Gana Sabha, Hyderabad, where Mr Raju was felicitated with a memento, a shawl, medal, and an official record certificate. The event was attended by distinguished personalities from literary and academic circles, including cinema Director Ranjith, Supreme Court judge Burugula Madhusudhan, film director-producer G. Vijay Kumar, prominent industrialist Rajashekar, actor Varmita, among others.
A large number of youth, students, literature enthusiasts, and representatives from various organisations participated, making the event a grand success. Hailed as a distinguished son of Telangana, Peruka Raju is currently serving as a junior officer in the Army under the Ministry of Defence. As a national poet, lyricist, writer, and translator, he has earned widespread recognition for bridging ideas and cultures across multiple Indian languages.

Beyond literature, Raju is actively engaged in social service. He founded the voluntary organisation “My Gift” with the aim of uplifting underprivileged and marginalised communities. His life philosophy, “Encouragement is the greatest gift,” continues to inspire many.
In this year alone, Peruka Raju has received seven prestigious literary awards, including honours such as the Swarna Kankanam, Nandi Award, and the National Best Poetry Award. With numerous accolades to his name, he is emerging as a prominent literary voice at the national level. He also contributes regularly to English newspapers through his daily columns, expanding literary thought and discourse.
