
HYDERABAD, MAY 25, 2025: As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, the Singareni Collieries Company Limited has donated Rs two crore to the Engineering College of Osmania University for the construction of a state-of-the-art modern classroom complex for the department of Electronics and Communication Engineering in Hyderabad.
The newly constructed modern classrooms were formally inaugurated by OU Vice Chancellor Kumar Molugaram along with SCCL chairman N Balaram and others on the university campus in Hyderabad on Sunday. Other guests included Prof G Naresh Reddy, Registrar, Osmania University, Prof. S Jithender Kumar Naik, OSD to the Vice Chancellor, Prof. P. Chandrasekhar, Principal, OUCE, Prof. B. Mangu, Vice Principal OUCE, Prof. D. Ramakrishna, Head of the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering. Other officials from SCCL, administrative officers of the college, heads of departments, faculty from the ECE, and other departments, supporting staff also graced this occasion.

In his address, Prof. Kumar Molugaram congratulated the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering for their initiative and expressed heartfelt gratitude to SCCL for their generous contribution and unwavering support. He extended his best wishes to the students, who will soon benefit from the advanced facilities in the new complex, and highlighted the significance of this milestone in enhancing the academic environment at Osmania University.
SCCL chairman Mr N Balram expressed his immense pleasure in contributing to Osmania University through SCCL’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. He reaffirmed SCCL’s commitment to supporting the University in future endeavours to enhance student welfare and academic excellence.
Following the formal inauguration, the dignitaries toured the classroom complex, appreciating the thoughtfully designed, spacious classrooms which can accommodate around 90 students, that promise an enriched learning experience for students.
