Rare titles available at I&B Ministry’s Publications Division
HYDERABAD, DECEMBER 20, 2024: Shruti Patil, ADG, Press Information Bureau (PIB) Hyderabad, on Friday inaugurated the Publications Division stall (a media unit of the Information & Broadcasting Ministry) at the 37th Hyderabad Book Fair at NTR Stadium, Hyderabad.
Speaking on the occasion, she said the Publications Division is a premier publishing house of the Government of India, playing a pioneering role in bringing out journals reflecting the initiatives of the Government. She said books from the Publications Division carry matters of national importance ranging from multi-faceted heritage and values to modern and contemporary ideas. She added that all these books include a wide range of subjects such as economic development, rural reconstruction, community development, literature, culture, children’s literature, and information on employment and career opportunities.
Shruti Patil urged job aspirants and youth to read these books to gain insights into important issues. Md. Sirajuddin, Assistant Director, Publications Division informed that value books related to Gandhian literature, freedom fighters, art history defence, Rashtrapati Bhavan, the president, and prime minister speeches, as well as children’s literature, will be available in the stall. He urged book readers to visit stalls no. 101 & 102 at the Hyderabad book fairgrounds and avail themselves of discounts of up to 90% on selected books from the Publications Division.
