

HYDERABAD, APRIL 05, 2025: The Telangana State Secondary Grade Teachers Union (SGTU) has decided to stage a massive dharna at Indira Park in Hyderabad on April 13, demanding a solution to a charter of demands by the government school teachers.

At a preparatory meeting for the dharna organised at the SGTU office in Hyderabad on Saturday, SGTU state President Kariveda Mahipal Reddy demanded that the government release the pending DA and announce PRC. Appealing the government to implement the promises made during the elections, he said that the government should take measures to strengthen the government schools and abolish the contributory pension scheme and implement the old pension scheme. He also sought the health cards for the retired teachers and government employees.
General secretary Arikala Venkatesham demanded the government for the filling up of 10,000 primary school headmaster posts. He also sought the right to vote to the teachers working in the primary schools in the MLC elections. The State leaders P Anjaiah, D Srinivas Reddy, V Neeraja, Rohini Devi, Hari Prasad, Tirupati Reddy, Vijay, Vijayender Reddy, Ramana Reddy, Sagar, Kishan, Satyam, Sudhakar Rao, Riswana Begum, Sowmya, Prashanthi and others were also present.
