
KARIMNAGAR, OCTOBER 23, 2024: With the sanction of NCC unit at Jyothismathi institute of technology and sciences (autonomous) Karimnagar, NCC authorities belonging to the 9 Telangana Battalion have started the selection of cadets to enroll in the NCC from this academic year onwards.
Accordingly, Naib Subedar Vijay Kumar and Havaldar P.Venkateshwar Rao have visited the JITS campus and conducted physical drill and other tests to select the NCC cadets for imparting regular training. The NCC unit would be set up in the college with a total of 108 cadets. In the first year, the NCC would enroll 36 cadets and every year it would add 36 cadets to make it a total of 108 cadets

Both the boys and girls have showed more interest to join the NCC and actively participated in the selections and fitness tests. NCC authorities had selected additional 30 cadets along with sanctioned 36 cadets. JITS chairman J Sagar Rao, principal Dr KS Rao, Dean Dr PK Vaishali and others were also present.
The JITS chairman said that the idea behind the start of NCC unit in the college is to motivate students to join the NCC which instill in them discipline, leadership, character, courage, camaraderie, sportsmanship and patriotism.
