RAJANNA-SIRCILLA, SEPTEMBER 18, 2026: The second day of the workshop being conducted by the Department of Commerce at Telangana Social Welfare Residential Degree College for Women, Shatrajupalli, Vemulawada, continued with a series of training sessions as part of the Academic Empowerment Programme – 100 Days Initiative, organised under the aegis of Satavahana University, Karimnagar, on Friday.
As part of the second-day programme, students received training on “Banking & Payroll Management” through two sessions. K. Sai Sharan, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce and Business Management (DCBM), Kakatiya University, Warangal, explained various aspects of banking operations and payroll management to the students.
This was followed by a session on “TallyPrime with GST: GST Accounting and Tax Compliance”, conducted by B. Raj Kumar, Assistant Professor, NIT Warangal. He explained GST accounting using TallyPrime software and the management of financial transactions in accordance with tax regulations from a practical perspective.
B Raj Kumar also conducted a session on “GST Reports and GST Return Filing”, providing students with practical knowledge of preparing GST reports, filing GST returns, and related accounting procedures.
Speaking on the occasion, P. S. R. Sharma, Principal, stated that the training programme provided students with practical knowledge of contemporary areas of commerce, including banking, payroll management, TallyPrime, GST accounting, tax compliance, and GST return filing. He added that the programme would help students develop the skills required for future career and employment opportunities.
