KARIMNAGAR, FEBRUARY 29, 2024: Satavahana University first Vice Chancellor Prof Mohammed Iqbal Ali was honoured with ‘Excellence in Education’ award at Edtech summit organised by Outlook Business and ObserveNow in Hyderabad on Thursday.
An economics professor from Kakatiya University, Mr Iqbal Ali was the first Vice Chancellor of the newly formed Satavahana University in Karimnagar in the year 2008. He played a crucial role in the growth of the university by ensuring 200 acres of land for the University on Malkapur road on the outskirts of Karimnagar town.
He was instrumental in designing the present structures of the university. During his stint as VC, he accorded top priority for the academic activities in the university. He frequently visited various degree and PG colleges and inspected the academic activities of students. The Satavahana University teaching and non-staff congratulated Mr Iqbal Ali on his achievement.
