
HYDERABAD, SEPTEMBER 16, 2026: The Salar Jung Museum, in association with the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, organised “Hyderabad Liberation Day – Inter School Quiz” for students of grades 6 to 8 in Hyderabad to commemorate the 79th Hyderabad Liberation Day Celebrations.
The initiative witnessed enthusiastic participation, drawing over 150 students across 25 schools from across the twin cities. Following the preliminary rounds, 16 finalists were shortlisted for the final round, out of which three winning teams were selected. Army Public School, Bolarum emerged as the winner, followed by Little Flower School, Abids and PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya, Trimulgherry in second and third position. The winning teams will be felicitated by the Vice President of India, Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan, at Parade Grounds as part of the 79th Hyderabad Liberation Day Celebrations on Thursday.
Speaking on this occasion, Ms Joyoti Roy, Curator (Education), Salar Jung Museum highlighted the exposure provided to students through educational institutions and cultural platforms in Hyderabad. She also stated that the Hyderabad Liberation Quiz provided an opportunity for the students to engage with the history and culture of Hyderabad in an interactive manner. She further expressed appreciation for the media’s role in creating awareness about such educational and cultural initiatives among the public.
