PEDDAPALLI, MARCH 26, 2024: The NTPC Ramagundam and Telangana, as part of CSR-CD programme, organised Rural Sports Meet at MG stadium in NTPC Township on Tuesday.
Inaugurating the sports event, Additional Collector (Revenue) Shyam Prasad Lal was all praise for NTPC Ramagundam for conducting Rural Sports Meet and encouraging the budding sports talent from the rural areas. He called upon the sportspersons to utilize the opportunity and excel in the sports field.
NTPC Ramagundam and Telangana Executive Director Kedar Ranjan Pandu expressed his happiness on the occasion of starting sports like volleyball, Khokho, kabaddi, running race, short put, discus throw for 20 ZPHS school students under the auspices of CSR-CD NTPC. He said that if students show enthusiasm and interest in sports, success in all fields is possible. He said that the district administration will also support the success of the students.
He also said that NTPC was spending crores of rupees on providing education, medical basic facilities, vocational training, drains, Roads and water sanitation through various programs for the development of the region through CSR-CD. Around 800 students from 20 schools participated in the sports Meet.
Mr Sanjib Kumar Saha, GM(O&M), Dr Chinmayee Das, Prsident DMS, Mr Arpan Dasgupta,GM(TS), K C Singa Roy, GM(Opn), Mr Goutam Kumar Haldar, GM(FM), Dr. Itwari Ram Lahri, CMO, Mr Samuel Prashanth, DGM(HR), and unions, associations, NTPC SC/ST association and senior officials of NTPC were present at the programme.
