KARIMNAGAR, MARCH 22, 2024: In a humane gesture, the Rotary Club of Karimnagar has distributed bicycles among the girl students of the Zilla Parishad High School, Indurthi, Chigurumamidi mandal, to combat drop-out rate and provide transport facilities on Friday.
Rotary club president Gorityala Venkat Kishan and secretary P Pavan Krishna said that they had distributed bicycles to the poor girl students who were coming to the school from far flung places with the support of Rotary club of Hyderabad and Welldone organisation. The bicycles were handed over to J Rachana, E Alekya, Md Asra Sultana, G Sanvi and P Aswitha as their parents was very poor to purchase bicycles for them.
On this occasion, the Rotarians said that the walking to the school was drudgery, especially for girls. They face several hardships carrying heavy school bags to reach the school. We have distributed the bicycles to make the girl students reach the school happily, they stated.
School headmistress Ch Jayaprada, Chigurmamidi MEO Srinivas Reddy, Rotarians G Anand Kumar, G Raji Reddy, Chitti Ramana Rao, Jeevan Reddy, SMC former chairman Usman Pasha, teaching faculty Tirupati, Prathap Reddy, Ramana Chary, Odelu Kumar, Madhavi, Raghupathi Reddy, Pawan Kumar, Savitha, Md Arif Hussain, Indira, Niharika and others were also present.
