RAJANNA-SIRCILLA, MARCH 25, 2026: As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, Valagro Biosciences Private limited, Hyderabad, has donated a RO water plant worth Rs 2.5 lakhs to quench the thirst of Government Degree and PG college students of Gambhiraopet mandal in Rajanna-Sircilla district.
The RO water plant with a capacity to purify and store 4,000 litres of pure drinking water was formally inaugurated by College Principal V Vijaya Lakshmi on Wednesday, along with Valagro Regulatory Manager Ravana Veni Prasad Babu, Field Development Manager D. Avinash Patel, and Legal Affairs representative Sham Shankar and others.
Speaking on the occasion, the Principal expressed happiness that the college is now able to provide safe drinking water — a basic necessity — to students studying from KG to PG levels. She appreciated the initiative taken by D. Bhagyamma, who earlier worked as a Commerce lecturer in the college, and conveyed special thanks to the company on behalf of the institution.

Mr. Prasad Babu, in his address, stated that he was very happy to inaugurate the R.O. Water Plant for the students of Government Degree College, Gambhiraopet, which is located in a remote area. He also mentioned that the company has been providing essential equipment and facilities to farmers engaged in agriculture as well as to several educational institutions.
The programme was attended by IQAC Coordinator Y. Anjaneyulu, NSS Programme Officer Paka Dharmapuri, Women Empowerment Cell Convener V. Vani Madam, Adi Vishnu, A. Manohar, B. Srinivas, Sucharan, Mahesh, Krishna Prasad, Jagannadam, Deepika, Bhargavi, Ravinder, Ramya, Shankar, Senior Assistant Srinivas, along with other teaching and non-teaching staff and students.
